Adult Lecture Series
The Lawrence Park Historical Society will offer a series of lectures over the course of the year that provide information and insight on vital periods in the history of the township, including the pre-GE period, the arrival of GE and early development, Lawrence Park and the World Wars, and Post War Lawrence Park.
Youth Library Series
Our local library will curate a series of events for young people, exploring some of the intriguing ways that Lawrence Park has played a vital role in the history of the Erie, of Pennsylvania, and of the country. hemes include the township’s signature architecture, biodiversity and sustainability, science legends on local street signs, and railroad history with the chance to build your own.
Historical Walking Tours
A series of different walking tours will share historical insight on the development and evolution of the township. All walking tours will conclude with a hot dog roast for attendees.
Student Contests
We will challenge local students to explore the century of Lawrence Park history and create original work that celebrate the centennial, including essays and art.
1926 Jazz Age Salon
Channeling the electric vibe of the 1920s, this gathering will invite Lawrence Park citizens to mark the moment in vintage style. With food, music, décor, and a period inspired dress-code, we will be commemorate the moment in the spirit of the original neighbors who played a part in creating the township.
